· To verify the endurance capability and long-distance driving performance of new energy vehicles, Chery meticulously planned a CHERY Long-distance Endurance Test for the Tiggo 9 PHEV and Arrizo 8 PHEV from Beijing to Wuhu, Anhui from April 25th to 26th. 

· This test passed through the cultural city of Jinan, the Confucian holy land, Qufu, and ultimately arrived in Wuhu. 

· This test not only validated the outstanding performance of the Tiggo 9 PHEV and Arrizo 8 PHEV in terms of endurance, performance, and intelligence but also served as a comprehensive examination and showcase of Chery's new energy vehicle technology strength.


Chery meticulously planned a Long-distance Endurance Test covering a total distance of 1214 kilometers from April 25th to 26th to test new energy vehicles' endurance capability and long-distance driving performance. The Tiggo 9 PHEV and Arrizo 8 PHEV departed from Beijing, passing through the cultural city, Jinan, and the Confucian Holy land, Qufu, finally arriving in Wuhu, Anhui. This journey was not just a geographical journey but also a comprehensive test of the vehicles' performance, driving experience, and long-distance adaptability.

 

On the afternoon of April 25th, the Tiggo 9 PHEV and Arrizo 8 PHEV embarked on a unique journey from Beijing. Initially, navigating through urban congestion provided an opportunity to validate the vehicles' low-speed driving and advanced driver assistance systems. 

Upon transitioning to highways, the focus shifted to the stability of the power systems and fuel efficiency over long distances. The Arrizo 8 PHEV is equipped with a 1.5TGDI fifth-generation hybrid-specific engine paired with a third-generation DHT hybrid transmission. And the Tiggo 9 PHEV features a 1.5TGDI fifth-generation hybrid-specific engine paired with a third-generation DHT hybrid transmission. The perfect collaboration between the electric motor and engine ensures efficient power output, with automatic power source switching based on driving demands for enhanced comfort and convenience. This journey showcases these models' outstanding performance in long-distance driving, aligning with the evolving trend of new energy vehicles in China and showcasing Chery's leadership and prowess in the Chinese automotive industry.

 

This test served as an ideal demonstration of the advanced driver assistance systems integrated into the Tiggo 9 PHEV and Arrizo 8 PHEV. Whether it's the adaptive cruise control (ACC) and lane departure warning (LDW) on the highway or the automatic emergency braking (AEB) and blind-spot detection (BSD) in urban congested areas, these advanced features have significantly enhanced the safety and ease of driving for users. These cutting-edge technologies not only relieve drivers of stress but also exemplify the convenience and safety standards of future travel. 

The Tiggo 9 PHEV stands out with its remarkable range, with a comprehensive  range of over 1400 kilometers and supporting rapid charging in a mere 20 minutes. Similarly, the Arrizo 8 PHEV incorporates highly efficient blade batteries, boasting an outstanding range of 1463 kilometers and enabling fast charging in just 19 minutes. This significant improvement in range and charging speed effectively eliminates any concerns related to "range anxiety," marking an important step forward in realizing the vision of green and sustainable travel.

During the long-distance journey, comfort was pivotal in enhancing the overall experience. The Tiggo 9 PHEV prioritizes comfort by offering massage functions for driver and passenger seats, with ten adjustable massage settings to cater to individual preferences. On the other hand, the Arrizo 8 PHEV boasts spacious seating and luxurious comfort, especially with its full-body sensation seats. Arrizo 8 PHEV excels in NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) performance, guaranteeing all occupants a serene and enjoyable journey. The Tiggo 9 PHEV comes equipped with double-layer laminated noise-reducing glass and environmental noise cancellation (ENC). These thoughtful features ensure a comfortable and peaceful driving or riding experience for both the driver and passengers.

 

The test passed through Qufu, Shandong, which holds significance as the hometown of Confucius and the birthplace of Confucian culture. As the vehicle gracefully enters this ancient city, the profound aura of Confucian culture transports one back to the Spring and Autumn Period. The Confucius Temple, situated in the heart of Qufu, is a prominent symbol of Confucian ideals. It serves not only as a tribute to Confucius and his philosophical teachings but also as a beacon for the renowned Confucian principle of "The benevolent loves others." Chery's dedication to social responsibility is evident through its active participation in and support of various social welfare activities. These efforts reflect Chery's consistent embodiment of the ethos of "The benevolent loves others," deeply rooted in Confucian ideology. By promoting this enduring spirit of Chinese culture, Chery contributes positively to society and reinforces its commitment to ethical values and community well-being.

On April 26th, the Tiggo 9 PHEV and Arrizo 8 PHEV reached their destination in Wuhu, concluding this 1214-kilometer journey. This test not only confirmed the outstanding performance of both models in terms of range, performance, and intelligence but also served as a profound examination and demonstration of the technological prowess in the new energy vehicle sector. The journey spanning thousands of miles showed us the boundless possibilities brought by technological advancement. It gave us a deeper understanding of the cleaner, more intelligent future of transportation that has arrived.
