Technical principle:

TPMS is divided mainly into two types: one is wheel-speed based TPMS (indirect TPMS), which compares rotating speed difference among tires through wheel speed sensor of ABS and judges the pressure change of a tire according to the rotating speed difference. This system will give an alarm when the rotating speed of a tire changes due to under-inflation so as to monitor tire pressure. The major disadvantage of such system is that the under-inflation conditions of more than two tires at the same time and the conditions of speed over 100km/h can be hardly judged. 
The other is pressure-sensor based TPMS (direct TPMS). This system uses high energy batteries mounted in each tire as the power supply for the pressure sensors to directly measure the pressure and temperature of tires as well as sends the signals of pressure and temperature to the monitor mounted in the cab through wireless modem; the monitor will display the pressure and temperature of each tire, then the driver can intuitively know the pressure and temperature conditions of each tire. The system will give an alarm automatically when the pressure and/or temperature of tires are in abnormal conditions.
Technical characteristics:
TPMS is used for automatically detecting tire pressure and temperature in real time when the vehicle is running and giving an alarm for tire leakage, low temperature and too high or too low temperature to ensure the driving safety.
