Chery Honored as "Top 100 Most Influential Chinese New Energy Enterprises"

Recently, the 2nd China Development Conference of International Environmental Protection and New Energy Industry was held in Beijing, which announced the release of the "Top 100 Most Influential Chinese New Energy Enterprises", and Chery was included.

"China Development Conference of International Environmental Protection and New Energy Industry" is co-sponsored by International Energy Conservation Environmental Protection Association, the Chinese agency of Environmental Sciences Research Center of the U.S., relevant international organizations of the United Nations and EU, and industry bodies around the world. "Top 100 Most Influential Chinese New Energy Enterprises" is awarded to those powerful and promising enterprises which have made outstanding contributions to sustainable development of environment and economy in China. Under the influence of those benchmarks and examples, it hopes to enhance the overall integration of new energy industry, and to promote the healthy and fast development of new energy industry in China and also the whole world.

In 2001, in pace with the country, Chery started research and development of new energy vehicles. It has undertaken and completed, with solid technologies, new energy projects of hybrid and electric vehicles under national "863" project. Currently, the company has developed relevant core technical systems of hybrid, electric vehicle, and alternative energy, etc. "Project of Technical Platform of Energy-saving and Environmental Friendly Vehicle" has obtained the first prize of “National Science and Technology Progress Award ". The traditional core manufacturing technology has also made a series of breakthroughs, and the strength of whole vehicle technology has taken the forefront in the industry. Moreover, 4 new-energy models of Chery are included in the "Catalogue of Recommended Models in Energy Saving and New Energy Vehicle Demonstration Application" by Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, among which several models have been mass produced and launched. Meanwhile, the trial operation of Chery new-energy vehicles have been proved successful in several regions both at home and abroad, such as Beijing, Dalian, Wuhu and South America, with energy-saving and environmental protection performances being deeply confirmed by the society.
