QQ3 of Chery adopts collapsible energy-absorption bumpers to absorb and damp the collision energy and increase the safety coefficient of cab.

The front seats of QQ3 are equipped with dual SRS airbags to improve the passive safety index for the car and ensure the safety for drivers and passengers to the utmost extent. This sufficiently embodies the "multi-dimensional safety" concept of modern minicars.

The frameless all-metal enclosed steel sheet structure of the entire car, the cage type body and the anti-collision steel beam whose strength achieves 1,000~1,200 MPa can fully protect the owner and greatly increase the safety coefficient. QQ3 is the only minicar which has passed the frontal collision test of National Technology Research Institute. The firm high-rigidity cage type body structure has a strong anti-impact capability to protect the body from distortion during collision and rolling. The design concept and the high technology adopted ensure safety more effectively.

QQ3 of Chery adopts front disk & rear drum brake linings--when applying disk brake, the oil pressure will push the brake lining to clamp the brake disk and use the friction generated by their contact to restrain the rotation of tyre so as to realize braking. The disk brake has a good reaction and stability, a good heat elimination capability and convenience in replacement. The drum brake has a drum-type cast iron component called brake drum, which is fixed to the tyre and rotating at the same speed with the tyre.

QQ3 of Chery has a triple anti-theft locking function. First, without closing the window when getting off the car, just directly lock the car and the four windows will be automatically closed and locked; secondly, when the four windows are locked, the engine will also be locked to realize the anti-theft function of the engine; thirdly, after being locked, the car is on alert and all the small lamps may flash and the horn may sound when the system is triggered. If someone wants to enter the car with inappropriate means, he will not be able to start it even with the key.

Electronic distance measurement reversing radar is added to QQ3. Without turning back for observation, the driver may know well the reversing status. The digital display and voice prompt help the driver reverse easily and make traveling simpler and safer.

With adoption of the new generation of German ABS+EBD system, QQ3 of Chery greatly improves the safety performance during emergency braking by the safety configuration originally designed for middle/higher grades of sedans, launching the high-safety age for minicars.
