· On the 24th May, the Chery TIGGO 8 Pro Max achieved the highest honor of a five-star safety rating in the latest round of assessment by the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP SAFETY), thanks to its outstanding safety performance.

 On the 24th May, the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max achieved the highest honor of a five-star safety rating in the latest round of assessment by the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP SAFETY), thanks to its outstanding safety performance. The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max was introduced in Australia in May 2024. The ANCAP safety rating for the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max is based on testing of its partner model, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro. ANCAP conducted additional pedestrian impact tests and was provided with technical information to show that the test results of the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro also apply to the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max. This ANCAP safety rating also applies to all Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max variants.            

The Tiggo 8 Pro Max has earned the prestigious ANCAP five-star certification in Australia, highlighting its comprehensive safety design and reinforcing Chery's commitment to user safety. As a meticulously crafted high-end SUV, the Tiggo 8 Pro Max has prioritized safety from its inception, integrating numerous industry-leading safety technologies.

Built on Chery's self-developed T1X platform, renowned for its lightweight, high rigidity, and modular characteristics, the Tiggo 8 Pro Max boasts exceptional body strength and stability. The entire vehicle employs ultra-high-strength steel from the T1X platform, featuring outstanding performance with torsional stiffness up to 21,000 Nm/deg. The third-generation high-strength steel integrated cage body was developed through over 100,000 experiments, optimizing the body structure and adhering to stringent material requirements. High-strength steel accounts for more than 60% of the vehicle's body weight, and the design incorporates bamboo-inspired spacer panels to enhance structural integrity. Key areas, including the cabin, are reinforced with six pieces of ultra-high-strength hot-formed steel from Benteler, further improving collision resistance. The front impact beam utilizes high-energy absorbing aluminum alloy, balancing impact absorption, force transmission, and lightweight properties to protect occupants during collisions. This meticulous design and engineering ensure that the Tiggo 8 Pro Max provides unparalleled safety, embodying Chery's technological strength and dedication to user protection in intelligent vehicles.

In terms of active safety, the Tiggo 8 Pro Max is equipped with multiple L2-level ADAS, including automatic emergency braking(AEB), adaptive cruise control (ACC ), lane keeping assist (LKA), traffic jam assist (TJA), integrated cruise assist (ICA), and lane departure warning(LDW). These systems provide comprehensive safety protection in various driving scenarios, enhancing safety and driving comfort.

These advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) ensure driving safety and enhance the comfort and convenience of the Tiggo 8 Pro Max. The Tiggo 8 Pro Max's restraint system also demonstrates exceptional safety, featuring four pre-tensioned force-limiting seat belts that quickly tighten during a collision to minimize passenger movement and reduce injury.

In addition to pre-tensioned force-limiting seat belts, the Tiggo 8 Pro Max in Australia is equipped with ten airbags, providing protection for passengers of different sizes and in various collision scenarios. Beyond the traditional six airbags, it features a driver knee airbag, a seat center airbag, and second-row side airbags, offering multi-directional safety protection. The driver knee airbag reduces the risk of knee injury during collisions, the seat center airbag prevents contact between the driver and front passenger in side impacts, and the second-row side airbags ensure adequate protection for rear passengers in side collisions. Moreover, the Tiggo 8 Pro Max's side curtain airbags have a 6-second pressure retention technology. This feature maintains airbag pressure for six seconds after deployment, providing sustained protection for passengers and ensuring a safe environment immediately following a collision. This advanced technology significantly enhances the vehicle's safety performance, offering passengers comprehensive protection.

In addition to its active safety, passive safety, and restraint systems, the Tiggo 8 Pro Max is equipped with numerous user-friendly features that enhance everyday driving safety. For instance, the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) continuously monitors the pressure and temperature of each tire, effectively preventing accidents caused by tire issues. The cornering lights are another practical feature, providing extra illumination when the vehicle turns, thereby improving safety during nighttime driving.
