In the automotive safety sector, the Euro NCAP assessment has long been considered the global benchmark for evaluating vehicle safety performance, owing to its rigorous testing standards and authoritative evaluation framework. On October 15, Chery’s flagship model, TIGGO7 CSH, distinguished itself in the latest round of E-NCAP safety tests with an outstanding performance. Achieving impressive scores of 82% in Adult Occupant Protection, 85% in Child Occupant Protection, 80% in Vulnerable Road User Protection, and 78% in Safety Assist, TIGGO7 CSH secured a prestigious five-star safety rating.

Safety has always been the foundational commitment of Chery. Guided by the philosophy of “Let everyone enjoy five-star protection,” the company is dedicated to creating a driving experience that blends comfort and safety for families around the world. As a global model and China’s best-selling A-segment SUV in export sales for three consecutive years, TIGGO7 PRO (Australian version) achieved a five-star A-NCAP rating in 2023. Now, with its latest five-star result in the E-NCAP assessment, TIGGO7 has earned another authoritative endorsement—paving a solid path for its continued expansion into the European market.
As one of the world's most stringent safety assessment systems, the current ENCAP standards were updated in 2023, introducing far-side occupant protection in passive safety and raising requirements for key performance indicators such as front-end structural compatibility. Thanks to its design rigorously aligned with global five-star safety standards, TIGGO7 CSH achieved outstanding scores of 82% in Adult Occupant Protection and 85% in Child Occupant Protection under these demanding new criteria—fully demonstrating its world-class quality and uncompromising commitment to safety for families around the globe.
TIGGO7 CSH's outstanding passive safety performance can be attributed to its innovative cage-type energy-absorbing "space capsule" body structure. Incorporating over 60% high-strength steel, the design significantly enhances crash safety performance. For maximum protection, critical areas are reinforced with 1,500 MPa hot-formed steel, while an 8-airbag system provides comprehensive protection for all occupants. Furthermore, the battery pack boasts an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, ensuring reliability even in extreme conditions.
On the active safety front, the latest E-NCAP standards have expanded to include over 100 new testing scenarios compared to their predecessor. These updates address complex situations such as collisions with crossing vehicles at intersections, high-speed head-on impacts, and accidents involving motorcycles, significantly raising the requirements for FCW and AEB systems. Faced with these demanding tests, TIGGO7 CSH fully demonstrated its comprehensive suite of intelligent driving capabilities. Its 12 ADAS functions are designed to deliver predictive risk warnings and intelligent intervention during daily driving. In E-NCAP's simulated collision scenarios involving vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists, TIGGO7 CSH exhibited excellent intervention capabilities, contributing to a high score of 80% in Vulnerable Road User Protection. Furthermore, the model earned a high score of 78% in the Safety Assist category, a result of its advanced intelligent systems that provide continuous support to the driver.
Going beyond standard requirements, Chery launched a global "Six-Dimension Safety Challenge," testing vehicles under extreme conditions of cold, heat, dryness, humidity, high speed, and rough roads — to validate their performance in the world's most demanding environments. On July 29 this year, during a battery scrape test conducted in Mexico City, TIGGO7 CSH struck a 242mm-high metal barrier at 30 km/h. The battery pack sustained only minor surface scratches, with no leakage, fire, or explosion, and the overall structure remained fully intact — further demonstrating its globally consistent high safety standards.
