For Chery Group, Europe is not only a key market in its globalization strategy, but also a strategic hub to drive innovation, enhance core competitiveness, and achieve sustainable development. Yin Tongyue,Chairman of Chery Holding said at the launch ceremony: "By establishing the European Operations Center in Barcelona and building it into a key operational hub for Chery Group in Europe, we hope to build a system that better understands Europe and better serves the European market." Behind this statement is Chery Group's long-term strategic resolve in adhering to the philosophy of "In Somewhere, For Somewhere, Be Somewhere" — to operate locally, for local communities, and become part of the local community. Today, this resolve is being translated into tangible market returns.

Supporting this breakthrough is Chery Group's ability to adhere to the "integration" approach and continuously deepen localization in Europe. The inauguration of the European Operations Center and the Spain R&D Institute this time is the concentrated embodiment of this philosophy. In addition to the European Operations Center, the simultaneously launched Spain R&D Institute will focus on electrification, intelligent mobility and sustainable development, continue to invest in diverse technologies, and align with European standards in data protection, environmental responsibility and compliance. Chery Group will create high-skilled jobs in fields such as engineering, innovation, product development and operations locally, strengthen cooperation with local talents and institutions, promote the development of the local industrial ecosystem, truly develop "cars with local flavor", and become "part of the local industrial ecosystem".

EBRO Factory in Spain
This deep localization model has already borne fruitful results in Chery Group's Spanish EBRO project and Chery Group's active participation in local public welfare initiatives in Spain. In 2024, Chery Group joined hands with EV MOTORS to revive the Spanish national brand EBRO. The cooperation not only revitalized the idle factory in Barcelona, but also created more than 1,000 local jobs, which was praised by the governments and the public of the two countries as "a model of China-Spain cooperation". Chery Group also cooperated with IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) and other organizations, actively participating in the restoration of the Posidonia seagrass beds in the Mediterranean Sea of Spain, protecting the "lungs of the ocean", and fulfilling its responsibility as a corporate citizen.
