WUHU, China, October 22, 2026 — As vehicles evolve from mere modes of transport into smart mobility terminals and distributed energy nodes, the social responsibility and industrial boundaries of global automakers are being redefined. On October 22, during the global user ecosystem activities held alongside the 2026 Chery International User Summit, Chery launched the “Ride Green Life” lakeside low-carbon cycling ride. Under the shared vision of “One nature, one future,” the initiative calls for integrating nature conservation, biodiversity and sustainable action into product experiences, user engagement, organizational decision-making and everyday life.

Cycling through an Eco-Park: making sustainability an easy, enjoyable part of daily life

Beyond the high-tech exhibition area, an 10.6-kilometer low-carbon ride had just concluded. As part of the call to action, international media, industry partners and user representatives from around the world cycled around the park, scanned codes to record their carbon footprints and took part in the initiative in the most direct way.

For Chery, sustainability does not need to appear only in formal technical white papers. Through a ride open to everyone, abstract environmental ideas were turned into tangible experiences: green mobility is not a complicated slogan, but a simple choice that can be woven into daily life.

Partnering with IUCN: deepening a global ecosystem for nature conservation

During the event,  IUCN highlighted its four-year programme Nature 2030: One Nature, One Future, which guides the Union's work to realise its vision of “a just world that values and conserves nature,” and aligns with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. Since launching the global “Cherish the Nature” partnership with IUCN in 2024, Chery and IUCN have continued to build a cooperation mechanism around nature conservation, environmental education and public engagement, delivering impact in safeguarding biodiversity, enhancing climate resilience, and empowering communities.

Powering every child’s learning journey with UNICEF

At the Summit, Chery donated Chery-branded jerseys signed by Robert Lewandowski, Chery’s Global Brand Ambassador and UNICEF Poland Ambassador, to UNICEF China.

Since 2023, Chery Group has committed US$12 million to support UNICEF’s global education programmes across Mexico, China, South Africa, Türkiye, Indonesia, and Viet Nam. This year, Chery continued to deepen its long-term cooperation with UNICEF. Together with Kitty van der Heijden, UN Assistant Secretary-General and UNICEF Deputy Executive Director, a Chery delegation visited Mexico to see firsthand how the global partnership translates into local action. Chery also participated for the first time in a high-level meeting on the Learn AI Global Compact during the UN General Assembly High-Level Week, advocating technology- and innovation-driven education transformation.

Guided by the partnership tagline, “Powering Every Child’s Learning Journey”, the collaboration is helping expand access to quality, equitable, and inclusive education.

In China, Chery supports STEM learning opportunities for students in rural schools. In South Africa, the partnership has helped pilot an AI-powered skills assessment tool with the Department of Basic Education and supported the rollout of the National Coding and Robotics Curriculum. In Vietnam and Indonesia, the partnership is helping children and adolescents build digital, green, and transferable skills. In Türkiye, Chery’s support has helped children return to safe classrooms after the earthquakes while strengthening the integration of recovery measures into the national education system. In Mexico, with a strategic focus on Guerrero, the partnership contributes to efforts to halve, by 2030, the number of children who cannot read and understand a simple text.

For Chery, these efforts represent more than one-off donations. They reflect a long-term commitment to embedding technology and innovation into education systems while empowering local communities for sustainable development.

Converging energy scenarios: from consumption terminals to distributed storage nodes

Alongside this expanding green ecosystem, Chery’s  Volt-dragon Charger and V2G Smart Charging Center highlighted its advances in energy management. The megawatt-level ultra-fast charging technology can deliver “5 minutes of charging for 500 kilometers of range,” while bidirectional V2G vehicle-to-grid interaction allows vehicles to charge during off-peak periods and feed electricity back to the grid during peak hours, transforming them into mobile storage units that can participate in urban grid dispatch.

Human-powered bicycles and intelligent electric vehicles capable of two-way energy interaction formed a vivid contrast. Together, they illustrated Chery’s underlying green logic: mobility options may be diverse, but energy flows and lifestyles should all point toward low-carbon, intelligent and circular solutions.

What Chery presented was not just charging infrastructure or public welfare activities, but an emerging panorama of future living—one in which borderless mobility, energy synergy, human care and harmony with nature come together. When sustainability becomes a lifestyle that global users can feel and take part in, a company’s green promise truly becomes a lasting force for social progress.
